My sister has sent along some pictures of her Bay-to-Breakers participation.

I know you guys have been dying for an image of this -- though it couldn't possibly compare to what's been going on in your imaginations, I'm sure -- so here.

And the award for best supporting actress goes to--

What, you thought I'd give you the full monty?

If you are wondering: yes, she is wearing a naked, shiny man. For the curious, I offer the information that no, she did not shave beforehand. There were quite a few participants in this whole naked painted runner extravaganza. And the human penis may be odd-looking in flesh, but it's even weirder when gold-plated.

And that's all I'm saying on that, um, head.

Time has a way of slipping away from you when you're busy, and that'll have to do by way of apology. Between work and a one-week vacation to Maui, June had conspired in such fashion that I would only be in town for one week.

Plans change. I'm back. Hi.

There will be pictures of Maui, eventually, and adventures with Little Feet and Big Feet. In the meantime, my right big toe has been mummified in duct tape -- for a very good reason, I might add; not that this matters much because, you know, duct tape -- and it occurs to me that even if there was a good reason for it, the hairs on my toe will be very displeased when it comes time to take this duct tape off.

I have hairs on my toes. I would shave them, but I cannot find an itty bitty razor.

I am weary, and therefore not inclined to write too much for the moment. This is simply a quick dash into the journal to announce that I am back, and not noticeably improved in character from my jaunt to a tropical paradise.

I have things to write. I will write them soon.

In the meantime, scroll on up and stare at my naked silver sister. That should hold you for a while.

I too have hairs on my toes. I shave mine with a regular razor when Im shaving my legs, only because I dont have it in me to let them grow long enough to wax.

I think I'm scarred for life.

Besides, since when do Asian people have anything to shave? My parents have Germanic and Irish ancestry, strong enough to cancel out the American Indian ancestry, which might as well mean I'm part ape if you saw my legs 12 hours after they were last attacked with a razor.

Anyway. Non sequitur. I'll update you when I know something, which could be tomorrow. Wish me luck.
