“Declaration of Marriage”, interesting. Kind of a retroactive time stamp. Would that we could do the same with the IRS or DMV. Or engineering requirements. Hmm, you may be on to something here, “Declaration of Retroactive Requirements”. (“No, really; This is what we intended to build all along!”)

In fact, it all worked out well! Thumbs down on the Delta ticket and .com services, but thumbs up on the gate staff. I have already written a note of complaint and approval to Delta. That’ll learn ‘em!

This is the funniest story I’ve read in a good long time! Pretty sure my coworkers down the hall are wondering what I’m cackling about.
At any rate, it was a lovely wedding, regardless of whether an actual marriage was the result.
And my God, has it actually been 7 years?!?!?

I was wondering (and worrying) about your facebook status! “Yuhri isn’t the type to air her marital issues via Facebook. She’s not a drama queen… then again, maybe she’s drunk posting… but she is responsible for a kid… kid may be at daycare…etc”. Glad that it was all a misunderstanding. Well, “glad” may not be the correct term, but considering the drunk/angst-ridden/distraught image I had of you in my mind I guess it will suffice.

I keep asking the husband about assorted supplies. You know. Diapers, wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes– he keeps telling me that it is actually possible to buy these kinds of things in England, that they actually had personal hygiene before the Americas were even discovered, but I keep pointing out what passes for teeth in his homeland and he shuts up. For a few seconds, anyway.

Crossing my fingers! T-minus-5 and a half hours to takeoff!

Good luck with packing and traveling and have a great trip! The morning of our last trip, when it was time to go out the door at 5:30am, our daughter (who is much to old to be pulling these stunts) suddenly lost her shoes. We took her in flip flops and bought her new shoes when we got to our destination.

I found your tribute to your Dad today while I was searching the internet for some of his biographical information.

My wife June and I studied Aikido with your Dad for a few years and I wanted to post a photo of my Sensei on my FaceBook page.

Probably we met at a couple of the dojo parties that occurred from time to time.

We want you to know we miss your Dad too. He was a fine man and a great teacher.

I’m having fun too. Go figure! I suppose it’s partly because it’s the first time, though I have a hard time believing that. I admit I’m a little worried it might not be as fun if we have a second one; it seems kind of unfair on subsequent kids if the first one gets all the congratulations of doing stuff the first time, and the second one gets a, “Meh, seen that. So what else can you do?”

I’m having fun watching him develop. My youngest (and last) grand is in first grade. The oldest is a college freshman, and her brother is a high school freshman.

Of course, younger daughter married into an incredibly complex (and large) family, and I have a bunch of step-greats on that side.
